POTBOI started with a simple obsession: coffee, what it can become, and what it can create between people.
I’ve spent more than a decade working in coffee, learning the craft, questioning it, teaching it, roasting it and constantly finding new reasons to stay curious. POTBOI is the first project that is completely solo - built from that experience, but without feeling tied to the rules, image or expectations that have grown around specialty coffee.
The name POTBOI is an alter ego. A version of myself with fewer filters. More willing to experiment, make something strange, challenge what already exists and follow an idea simply because it feels worth exploring. It gives me a space to create without needing everything to fit neatly into what coffee is supposed to look like.
At its core, POTBOI is about good coffee, treated with respect from farm to cup. But it is also about everything around it - art, design, conversation, experimentation and community.
I want it to become a new kind of third place. One that doesn’t require experience, vocabulary or a certain taste to belong. Somewhere people can question things, learn, disagree, explore and form their own opinions.
There is no single correct way to experience coffee.
POTBOI exists to keep that space open.
Coffee’s first anti-culture.
